Art Of Slow And
Gentle Roasting
Our traditional drum roasting requires tranquility. Not large amounts of coffee beans are roasted at 180-210 °C for about 20 minutes. This slow and gentle roasting allows coffee beans to reach their full natural flavor.
Undesirable acidity is reliably eliminated, including side effects such as heartburn or stomach problems are alleviated without losing the unique taste. It is also guaranteed that our packaging is produced without CO² to deliver ORIGO coffee with its full aroma harmony to consumers.
The starting point for roasting is careful selection of coffee beans from the best growing areas of the world.
Roasting process takes approximately 20 minutes and is carried out at a maximum temperature of 225 degrees celsius.
This slow and gentle roasting allows coffee beans to reach their full natural flavor.
What Is The
Difference From
Industrial Roasting?
Industrially roasted coffee is roasted at 450° – 600° C only for 1,5 – 3 min in an air blower for purely economic reasons. This kind of turbo roasting of large quantities comes at the expense of the taste and quality of coffee.
How To Notice
And Feel The
Difference?
ORIGO speciality coffee beans are the same size and roast, so you do not need to adjust the coffee machines. Already brewed coffee has enough sweetness, so you won’t feel the need to add sweeteners.
